WasteMove Ltd ("WasteMove", "we", "us") is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales (company no. 12553277) and are a registered waste carrier with the Environment Agency (licence CBDU458774). Our office is in Ilford, IG1 2RJ. What we collect

Quote and booking details: your name, phone number, email address, collection address and postcode, a description of the items, photos you send us, and any messages in our website chat, by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Job records: what we collected, when, the price, payment status, and the waste transfer note for the job.
Website information: the page you arrived on, how you found us (for example a Google search, an advert or a link) and, if you agree to cookies, information our advertising tools use to tell us whether an advert led to an enquiry.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

To quote for and carry out your job, contact you about it, and take payment. This is necessary to enter into and perform our contract with you.
To meet legal duties, including keeping waste transfer notes under the waste duty of care, and keeping accounting records.
To run and improve our business, for example understanding which adverts and pages bring us enquiries, preventing fraud, and following up an unfinished quote. This is in our legitimate interests, and we keep it proportionate.
To measure our Google adverts, only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner (your consent). You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies and storage in your browser.

We do not sell your personal information, and we only send you marketing messages if you have asked for them.

Who we share it with

We only share what is needed, with: our own crew and office team; trusted subcontractors who carry out a job for us; the service providers that run our website, quote chat and team messaging (including Hostinger, Railway and Telegram); Google, for advertising measurement when you have consented; payment and accounting providers; and regulators or the police where the law requires it. Some providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Quote enquiries that do not go ahead: up to 2 years.
Job records and waste transfer notes: at least 2 years, as the waste duty of care requires, and up to 6 years for tax and accounting.
Photos: deleted once they are no longer needed for the quote, the job or a dispute.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website stores a small amount of information in your browser to remember how you found us and to keep the quote chat working. Google advertising cookies are only switched on if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "No thanks", we use Google's privacy-friendly mode, which does not store advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask us to transfer it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email wastemoveltd@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
